The Educational and Charitable Foundation of LKO (or ECF) is a public non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing service to the Northern Virginia Community.

Our mission is to provide educational and charitable services to individuals, families, groups and organizations in Northern Virginia without regard to race, religion or ethnicity.

2010 Highlights
A
key measure of our success is our ability to positively effect the
community. In 2010 we raised over $18,000.00 with our signature
book signing and awards luncheon featuring actor and author Hill Harper
and awarded $9,000.00 in scholarships and book stipends to local
students. We continued our annual giving with charitable
contributions to the Emerging Scholars program, EAF Inc., Martin Luther
King Project Foundation, Africare, American Red Cross, American Cancer
Society, Ronald McDonald House and Worldcamps. We also donated
several hundred volunteer hours to the Young Authors Program,
Foundations, and Buckman Road Community Preservation Corporation.
We are most proud of the continued outreach efforts of ECF through the Kozy Kerchief program. We created and donated more than 100 Kozy Kerchiefs to women and children undergoing chemotherapy. Supporting persons with cancer as they journey with this disease is important to us, but it also underscores the need for continued vigilance as we educate the community and improve their health and wellbeing.
